DigitalFrap Breaks $1

My friend and I have had http://www.digitalfrap.com for quite while now which we were supposed to use for a business. Since that didn’t push through this site has largely been idle. Last December 21, I decided to use DigitalFrap to teach myself SEO techniques (although I didn’t really do anything till Dec 27). To be honest I didn’t really know what to expect, maybe just teach myself a trick or two on how to optimize a site. Basically just start small and see where it goes.

Well the past 10 days DigitalFrap has been averaging 70 cents per day and just today it broke the $1 (with $1.89) mark. Yup, it’s not much actually but when you consider that this site is not even one month old and I had zero knowledge of SEO when I started I do feel a sense of satisfaction on what has transpired so far.

Anyway here’s the breakdown on the traffic:

Direct Traffic: 4.11%

Referring Sites: 33.81%

Search Engines: 62.08 %

As you can see majority of the traffic comes from search engines (no surprise there actually as this is what this site was aiming for). Of that 62.05% search engine traffic 98.7% comes from the Google search engine. Translation: I still don’t know how to optimize for Yahoo and Microsoft.

What have the people been seaching for in DigitalFrap ? Well basically keywords (yuotube, qoutes, naruto wallpaper and vedio) given by my keyword research tool: Macuha.com . Really recommend this site as Marhgil gives good and easy to understand advice on SEO.

So if you’re thinking of learning SEO but are intimidated by it. Don’t be, in a span of three weeks I’ve managed to learn quite a few things and even get to the front page of google for a couple of search terms.
